K&B’s threading division holds API and ISO certifications as well as numerous premium-threading licenses. Using state-of-the-art CNC equipment, K&B is licensed to machine the most popular threads, as well as some of the most obscure, and is equipped to thread large production quantities or a single production run. The company’s capabilities include full-length casing and tubing for API premium threads, with size capabilities ranging from 1 ¼ to 20 inches, and end finishing of zinc and manganese phosphate coating or copper plating. The company is also equipped to handle Swaging, Mandreling and Stress Relieving, and has Bucking capabilities of up to 20 inches.
Once threaded, pipe is conveyed to the inspection rack where it is meticulously checked for threading accuracy and drift. In order to create an audit trail, critical information is recorded by the inspector, and each piece is stamped to identify machine source and operator. Pipe may be end-finished in zinc or manganese phosphate coating or copper plating. K&B has expansive storage yards where pipe is staged for customer delivery.
